Am I Eligible to Take the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant Exam?
To be eligible for the CCMA certification, candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
Completion of a medical assisting training program from an accredited institution
One year of work experience as a medical assistant
Completion of a program in medical assisting that includes both clinical and administrative training, or a medical assistant program with a minimum of 720 hours that includes both clinical and administrative training.
About the CCMA Exam
Once a candidate meets the eligibility criteria, they must pass the CCMA Certification Exam. The exam is computer-based and consists of 150 multiple-choice questions, which are divided into the following categories:
