The Nuclear Medicine Technology (NMT) certification demonstrates a nuclear medicine technologist’s advanced knowledge and competence in performing nuclear medicine examinations. This certification is offered by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).

Passing Score
The NMTCB NMT exam uses a criterion-referenced scoring system, which means that the passing score is determined based on the knowledge and skills required to perform competently as a nuclear medicine technologist.
Eligibility Criteria
To become eligible for the NMTCB NMT certification exam, candidates must meet the following criteria:
a. Complete an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology educational program.

Exam Format
The NMTCB NMT certification exam consists of 185 multiple-choice questions, with a time limit of 4 hours. The exam is administered on a computer at Pearson VUE testing centers.

Certification Maintenance
